This will be the first blog in a series of ways to lower your score. So here goes with an essential putting tip:
PUTTING TIP: Keep your lead wrist firm and flat through the stroke.
Too often I see golfers flex or bend the lead wrist through the stroke which can cause two things that are potentially disastrous to a putt. When the lead wrist flexes it can lift and turn the putter face that can cause poor ball contact and misdirection. In addition, it can add a speed vector making it harder to control the distance. Distance control is paramount for good putting.
So, keep the lead wrist firm through the stroke (i.e. don't flex or bend it) to help the ball stay on line and to control distance. Now, watch the ball roll in the hole!
