Golf Practice Mat
Yellow Foam Balls
![]() Some of us are going out to the golf courses here in Tucson during this beautiful spring weather but are practicing social distancing during the virus crisis. The courses are employing a number of safety measures that include shallow cups, no rakes, no sand bottles, disinfected carts, one golfer per cart and more to help create a safe environment. Others may not want to head out to the course just yet but still want to work on their game. One way to do that is using practice equipment at home. I found that a practice mat can allow some quick and useful home practice. ![]() A dual surface practice mat is shown in Figure-1 as an example. It has a first cut rough and short fairway cut faux grass which I find is really great for practicing on both surfaces. This type of mat can really work well especially with the yellow foam type balls shown in Figure-2. These semi-soft foam balls are key to not breaking anything in the house or backyard. I mostly use wedges with the mat and set up targets to keep the short game tuned up. These items can be viewed at Amazon.com at the links below. Happy Practicing! Golf Practice Mat Yellow Foam Balls
