I traveled up to Phoenix in November for the 3 day instruction and testing. The certification testing is only held twice per year in Phoenix and Florida. There were a variety of participants from around the world including Nepal, England, Mexico, Korea and from a number of locals in the U.S. It was challenging and a lot of fun! The testing included the requirement to execute a wide variety of golf shots and I learned more in-depth knowledge about a number of golf subjects including ball flight laws, shot selection, drills, specialty shots, and identifying and correcting complex swing flaws.
I am very happy to report that I have been certified by the United States Golf Teachers Federation (USGTF) as a Level IV Master Golf Instructor. Level IV is the highest golf instructor designation by the USGTF. The USGTF, established in 1989, is the largest national organization of certified golf teaching professionals in the world.
