How do we get more consistent ball contact when hitting shots especially when we are trying to pitch up to the green?
MISHITS: There are a number of variables involved but two of the most common errors that can occur are:
- Not shifting body weight or turning through the shot
- Scooping at the ball - in other words flipping the hands and wrists at the ball
GOOD CONTACT: How should we manage those two items to get better ball contact?
- Start the downswing with the body - weight shift forward
- Lead the club head with the hands and keep the lead wrist flat through impact
